Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomYes.. but only in spirit ;) Very cool shot, great angle and fish-eye, just enough for the effect. 9 Jul 2008 8:52am @Observing: Great! We need to have a metaphysical discussion about spirits of ghosts! That'll be fun. Thanks for your comment! Jean-Benoît Maréchal from Dinant, BelgiumCe genre d'endroits est superbe à photographier. Ici, c'était un jeu d'enfant. grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomDramatic and energetic. Interesting pic and I like the phantom. One small niggle, I think the distorted post on left pulls the eye out of the pic a bit. What do you think? 9 Jul 2008 10:27am @grouser: Hello. I see what you mean, but I find that when you look at the ghost, that post tends to balance the frame. But you're right, if you then look at the post, it is a bit disorienting. Thanks for your comment. Jonathan Alan Photography from St. Louis, United Statesvery interesting POV as well as angle, well lite shot! 9 Jul 2008 1:09pm @Jonathan Alan Photography: I have to say, very interesting place to be! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Cheers, Jonathan. Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesThe tilt and fisheye make an arresting image. I think the post works with the platforms to curve - and frames the ghostly girl on the floor. Nice shot! 9 Jul 2008 2:10pm @Ken McCoy: Hello Ken. That's also how I see it, that post frames the ghost. How have you guessed she was a girl? Well, you're right, that spectre is a fellow female photographer. Will Wood from Toledo, United StatesI am a big fan of wide angle pics and I think ghostly figure gives the photo a center of focus. Otherwise, it would be just another urban decay shot. Cool shot. 9 Jul 2008 4:32pm @Will Wood: Thank you Will. I think you're right, that ghostly figure gives a sense of reality to the shot, a point of interest. I personnally find that interesting to have a ghost in this kind of place. zOOm from Paris, FranceOui, je l'ai vu ! Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canadacool shot. I see a girl and my co-worker sees a bird. I think that is most interesting. 9 Jul 2008 9:19pm @Marion: Hello Marion. That co-worker of yours happens to be wrong. That ghost is indeed a girl. There where a few pigeons present throughout the building, but I do no think any birds show in this particular shot. Thanks for stopping by! @amy: Thanks, Amy! Vink from Magagnosc, FranceL'effet apporté renforce la profondeur. Bien joué ! Un endroit sordide mais qui paradoxalement se trouve être photogénique ! 10 Jul 2008 7:39am @Vink: Et très stimulant à visiter. Merci du commentaire. bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaWow Vincent, this is such a cool perspective. The open space, the feeling of being somewhat lost and confused! I've always wanted to try shooting with a fisheye but always wondered what exactly I would shoot...now I know! 13 Jul 2008 2:10pm @bluechameleon: Come back wednesday for another stunning fisheye shot (eventhough it's me saying it). Julie from Montréal, CanadaCool! |
